EVERY household in the Dudley borough will receive vital coronavirus advice this week.

Chiefs at Dudley Council and Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group have put together essential advice for people to stay safe during the pandemic which will be sent to every household in the borough.

It is is hoped the information will reach the most vulnerable people in the borough who may not have access to the internet.

Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said: "Supporting the most vulnerable in our borough is an absolute priority for both the council and health services.

"I think during these unprecedented times it is more important than ever that we keep our residents well-informed, to give them the best chance of staying safe and healthy.

"This will complement the work we are already doing locally, as well as everything that is happening nationally to raise awareness of what we all need to be doing at this time."

Dr David Hegarty, chair of Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group, said: "Making sure that those most at risk from the virus know how to protect themselves is our top priority.

"We know that this will be an especially worrying time for those with serious underlying health conditions.

"We hope this information will provide reassurance, and complement any national guidance or information which may be provided in the coming weeks."
