STOURBRIDGE U3a members have been doing their bit to tidy up the town during lockdown.
Last year the group teamed up with David Harcourt and his Stourbridge in Bloom team to enter the Britain in Bloom awards - and their efforts helped to net the town another gold award.
The prestigious Bloom awards, however, have been cancelled for this year due to the coronavirus crisis and social distancing rules.
But U3a members felt they wanted to do their bit to help keen the town tidy and Stourbridge group member Barbara French said: "Some members of Stourbridge U3a decided there was an opportunity to make Stourbridge look a little better and early yesterday morning (Sunday) a small group set to and weeded the planters around the town.
"Maybe as rules are relaxed we shall be able to do some planting to cheer everyone up."
