COSTA coffee fans will be pleased to hear that the chain is reopening in Halesowen's Cornbow Centre this week.

The coffee shop in the Queensway Mall will be back serving customers on Thursday (July 9).

And the chain is giving away free coffee to its customers to celebrate thousands of its stores reopening after they closed on March 23.

Anyone who registers with the Costa Coffee Club mobile app - as well as existing members - will receive 300 points, equivalent to £3, to spend on a drink or item of food of their choice.

Cornbow Centre manager Eve O'Connor said she was looking forward to welcoming Costa back to the centre.

She said: "It will be great to have Costa back.

"Greggs reopened on Saturday and I was really pleased to have my first latte and bacon bap in four months!

"The vast majority of our retailers have reopened now apart from our nail bar and Peacocks, which is in the process of opening its stores up and we are looking forward to continuing to serve everyone safely."

Costa says it plans to reopen more than 2,000 of its stores in the UK by the end of July.

The offer is available from July 6 until Friday, July 31.
