VISITING times at the maternity unit at Russells Hall Hospital are set to change, as COVID-19 safety measures continue at the hospital.

Birth partners will be able to visit women in postnatal bays or those receiving transitional care according to what bed they are in, under new rules starting today (July 27).

Visitors can drop by beds A and D from 10am to noon and 2pm to 4pm, while women in beds B and C can receive visitors from noon to 2pm and 4pm to 6pm.

Visiting times in individual rooms or for women staying on the delivery suite after giving birth runs from 10am to noon and 2pm for 4pm.

A spokesperson for the Dudley Group Foundation NHS Trust said: "We know what an important time this is for families and appreciate your understanding as we keep you safe."

There still remains a restriction of just one birth partner during labour at the hospital.

No changes have been made to current antenatal clinics or scans as hospital bosses wait for further guidelines from the Government.
