A MAN was injured after a car overturned close to Rowley Regis cemetery.

Medics were called to Powke Lane following reports of a collision at around 9.30am this morning (August 7).

The driver has managed to get himself out of an overturned car and he was checked at the scene by paramedics.

The man was taken to Russells Hall Hospital having sustained minor injuries.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.31am to Powke Lane, Rowley Regis to reports of a collision. A paramedic officer, an ambulance and a HART paramedic attended and arrived to find a car overturned. The driver, a man, had managed to self-extricate from the vehicle and was assessed by ambulance staff.

"He had sustained minor injuries and was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further checks."
