A CORONER has concluded a 23-year-old Dudley woman who was found hanged at Saltwells Nature Reserve took her own life.
Hannah Mae Homer, a retail supervisor at Asda, of Bratch Close, Netherton, was found on July 1 by a member of the public who alerted the police and ambulance service.
CPR was carried out but she was confirmed to have passed away at 2.34pm.
Senior coroner for the Black Country, Zafar Siddique, said Miss Homer, who was born in Stourbridge, died from asphyxia due to hanging.
He told the inquest at Black Country Coroner's Court on September 7 that she had been “visibly upset” around two hours before her death following a phone call.
It was not clear what had caused her to be so distressed, he said, but there had been "some issues around a relationship".
He described Miss Homer as “extremely hard working and independent” and he offered his “deepest, deepest condolences” to her family and friends as he concluded her death was suicide.
