SIX men charged with killing Sedgley dad Reece Cox have pleaded not guilty to murdering him and must now await trial.

Adam Ashwin, aged 19, of Monument Lane, Sedgley, Ryan Stuart Nicklin, aged 22, of Limes Avenue, Pensnett, Sebastian Jones, aged 18, of Corser Street, Dudley, Shane Jones, aged 25, of Orchard Grove, Lower Gornal, Shaquel Halliday, aged 22, of Shadwell Drive, Lower Gornal, Wayne Burke, aged 22, of Queens Street, Pensnett, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court today (Friday September 24) charged with the murder of Reece, aged 24, as well as violent disorder and actual bodily harm.

All six today denied the charges and are to await a trial which has been scheduled for April 12 next year.

Tyrone Halliday, aged 24, of Inglefield Road, Stechford, Birmingham, pleaded not guilty to charges of violent disorder and actual bodily harm and also faces trial on April 12, 2021.

A pre-trial review of the case will be held on December 14.

Reece, a young dad, was found with fatal head injuries after a street attack outside the Clifton pub on Bull Ring, Sedgley, on Saturday August 15.
