CORONAVIRUS cases across Hampshire have gone up.

As testing increases, figures from Public Health England show that positive coronavirus cases have increased across Hampshire for the most recent week.

However, in Southampton positive cases have dropped.

In the city, 28 new cases were recorded in the seven days to September 25, compared to the 34 new cases recorded the week prior in the seven days to September 18.

In Eastleigh, cases have increase slightly with nine recorded new cases in the most recent week, up by two from the seven new cases recorded the week before.

Winchester also saw an increase in cases with 12 new cases in the seven days to September 25, up from six the week prior.

Cases have jumped from 16 new cases to 21 new cases in the most recent week in the new New Forest, and there have been 19 newly recorded cases in Test Valley compared to the 12 cases recorded the week before.

In Fareham 13 new cases have been recorded, up from 11 recorded in the seven days up to September 18.

Gosport have nine new cases in the seven days up to September 25, up from four new cases the week before.

There are 57 new cases recorded in Portsmouth in the most recent week, compared to 24 cases recorded the week prior.
