A FIRE has ripped through a Southampton flat.
Firefighters raced to a first-floor flat in Lydgate Close after receiving an emergency call at 6.25pm last night.
Crews from Hightown and St Mary's Fire Stations were on the scene.
Three engines were used to tackle the blaze with the stop message coming in shortly before 7pm.
According to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services, the cause of the fire is unknown.
