POLICE seized an uninsured vehicle in Rowley Regis in one of a string of incidents while they were carrying out routine patrols yesterday (Monday).

Officers saw a VW Golf which attempted to avoid them. 

Police constable Jamie Follows, of Dudley Police, said: "We stopped the driver who had a revoked driving licence.

"He had also set up a fraudulent insurance policy, his vehicle has been seized and he has been reported to court."

The stop was made during an eventful patrol by officers from C unit response, based at Brierley Hill and traffic officers.

Officers also chased one vehicle from Brierley Hill to Gornal. They arrested the driver on suspicion of dangerous driving and possession of drugs.

In Dudley they stopped a silver Astra travelling on the wrong side of the road.

PC Follows said: "We established that the driver was disqualified and we arrested him seizing the car under the road traffic act."

In Oakham Road, Dudley, they spotted a blue Ford C max which tried to avoid them.

PC Follows said: "The driver was stopped he had no licence or insurance.

"We seized the vehicle and the driver has been reported to court."
