A DANCE teacher who has worked alongside Diversity and on the worldwide Big Dance project is auditioning next month for her youth company.

ME Dance Company run by Marcia Edwards is holding auditions on Saturday, November 21, at Halesowen College.

Marcia is looking for dancer aged 13 to 21 who have a basic understanding of dance and rhythm or gymnastics.

ME specialises in Contemporary, Ballet and Modern styles of dance and Students come from Stourbridge, Hagley, Kinver and Halesowen and other local areas.

Training is 4 hours a week, on Monday evening and Saturdays, usually at Revival Fitness in Stourbridge.

In the past the company has performed at The Artrix in Bromsgrove, Dudley Town Hall, Stourbridge Town Hall, Wolverhampton Arena Theatre, Haden Hall Festival and the Walsall Arena.

During lockdown the company made films to continue the performance training, the first of which 'Overload' was streamed as a part of an online festival 'Capture the Movement'.

Marcia has worked with many schools, colleges and universities in the past 20 years creating choreographic work and delivering techniques classes.

She has toured nationally and internationally as a dancer, and taught in Norway and the Caribbean and worked alongside Diversity and on worldwide project the Big Dance which involved over 2 million people.
