A Brierley Hill woman has been found guilty of a racially aggravated attack on a police officer.

Sarah Louise Thomas, aged 48, or Wells Road, admitted assaulting a police constable and the court found the offence was racially aggravated.

She was sentenced to a community order and an electronically tagged curfew from 7pm to 5am for 6 weeks. She must also pay costs and compensation totaling £375.

A Stourbridge man has been banned from driving for 18 months and must pay £541 in fines and costs after admitting drink driving.

Keiran Thomas Grainger, aged 30, of Hungary Hill, was more than double the limit when breathalysed on Longfield Road. He had 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35.

Grainger was fined £369 and ordered to pay £135 prosecution costs and £37 victim surcharge.

A Dudley man has been fined and banned after admitting drugs and motoring offences.

Ross Hogan, aged 39, of Gloucester Road, Netherton, admitted drink driving on Oakham Road, possessing the Class A drug diamorphine and driving without a licence and insurance.

He was banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £290 in fines and costs.

A drunken Netherton man who damaged a police cell must pay £227 in costs.

Daniel Colin Field, aged 37, of Molyneux Road, admitted drunk and disorderly behaviour in Brettle Lane and damaging a police cell at Oldbury.

He was given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay £135 costs and £92 compensation.

Timothy Konya, aged 59, of Worcester Street, Stourbridge, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £167 in costs and victim surcharge after admitting possessing cannabis.

A Halesowen man has a lengthy prison sentence hanging over him after admitting a string of offences.

Matthew George Daniel Smith, aged 31, Shenstone Valley Road, pleaded guilty to stealing goods worth a total of more than £400 from three stores, assaulting an emergency worker, threatening a police officer, taking a car without consent and failing to provide a blood specimen.

The thefts involved £114.95 of alcohol from One Stop, 17 tines of salmon from the Co-op and £250 of meat, also from the Co-op.

The assault was against a Detention Escort Officer.

Smith was sentenced to a total of 30 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months. His probation includes a requirement to undergo drug rehabilitation treatment.

He was also ordered to pay a total of £464.95 in compensation.

Richard Francis Rowe, aged 38, of George Street, Wordsley, has been given a community order and ordered to pay £100 compensation after he admitted assaulting a police officer in George Street.

A Man has been put on curfew with an electronic tag for two months after a ‘serious’ case of dangerous driving.

David John Teale, aged 40, of County Park Avenue, Abbeyfields, Halesowen, admitted driving a Volkswagon Golf dangerously on Hamilton Avenue.

He was sentenced to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 18 months. For two months he is on a a curfew with electronic monitoring between 6pm and 6am.

He was also ordered to pay £307 costs and fined £200 for driving without insurance.
