A driver was arrested yesterday with drugs found in their car after being stopped by police.
The driver of a black Audi A3 was spotted in Albert Road, Farnworth, before being stopped in Edale Road.
After being stopped a passenger set off on foot and the driver was detained by police.
Police said the driver would then fail a drugs test.
A quantity of drugs were then found in the car which was also found to have defective tyres.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Spotted this Audi A3 on Albert Road Farnworth.
"When stopped on Edale road the passenger made off on foot and the driver was detained by the officer.
"Driver would fail a drug test.
"Defective tyre on vehicle and a quantity of drugs located."
