A MAN suffered a serious head injury in a fight outside an Oldbury pub last night (Saturday).
Police attended the Phoenix pub in Martley Road at around 9.10pm after reports of a disorder.
A man, aged in his 40s, is believed to have been punched in the face and suffered a serious head injury as he fell to the floor.
He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Officers conducted initial enquiries at the venue last night and have seized CCTV for examination and today they have issued an appeal for witnesses to get in touch.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We would also urge the people involved in the fight to come and speak to us so we can hear their side of the story."
