Three former Halesowen College students have received bursaries of £2,250 from the Helena Kennedy Foundation.
Abigail Smith, Tyler Thompson, both 18, and Wyade Chaffatt, 19, were successful in getting the extra funding to go to University.
The Helena Kennedy Foundation provides bursaries, mentoring and support to students who want to go on to Higher Education.
Abigail has gone to Nottingham University to study Criminology and at Halesowen studied A levels in English Literature, Religious Studies and Sociology.
Abi said: “Thanks to the careers staff at Halesowen College I’ve now got a great financial start to University which will really help me for the future.”
Tyler is studying International Relations with German at Manchester Met. At Halesowen he studied A levels in Film, Georgraphy and Politics.
Wyade will be at Birmingham City University studying Architecture with a foundation year. At College he studied AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), Business and Textiles.
