CATSHILL will be the starting point for a district-wide project getting residents of Bromsgrove to have their say about where they live.

People living in Catshill are being invited to get involved in a community survey about day to day life in the area, likes, challenges, opportunities and aspirations as well as focussing on health and well-being.

Bromsgrove District Council Leader Cllr Karen May said: “We want to get a conversation going across the District and Catshill is our starting point.

"We need to gather information about day to day life in our places so we can make it work for them and who better to share their experiences than the residents themselves.”

Instigated by Bromsgrove District Council and Worcestershire County Council’s Public Health, the survey will help to inform partner agencies about services which are in place and how, by working together, any improvements can be made.

The Bromsgrove Partnership is made up of representatives from the public, private and voluntary sectors who work together to deliver the best possible services for our local community.

Chair Graeme Anderson said: “Although individuals, and individual organisations, can often make a difference, it’s genuine partnerships that really produce results.

“The most important partner in building communities is you, the people of that community.

"We promise to listen to what you have to say and allow it to shape the work we do.”

The survey is now open at Bromsgrove.gov.uk/consultations and closes on December 14.

Paper copies are available and staff at Catshill library are available to help people fill it in too - e-mail r.green@bromsgroveandredditch.gov.uk for more details.

All results will be published on the Council’s website and participants who have expressed an interest in getting more involved will be contacted in the New Year.
