POLICE have stepped up patrols around Amblecote Playing Field after reports a teenager was threatened by a man with a screwdriver.

Officers were called to the park off School Drive just after 9am yesterday (Wednesday November 18) after the incident was reported.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Fortunately the teen was not hurt, but was left shaken. Enquiries are on-going and we have officers patrolling the area."
