SOME say there is beauty to be found everywhere and these striking aerial images of Stourbridge by night prove just that.

Licensed drone pilot Simon Beckett took the stunning images which show Stourbridge from the night sky – sparkling in all its glory amid the gloom of the pre-Christmas coronavirus lockdown.

The shots, edited in Lightroom, even capture the recently installed town Christmas tree which stands at the top of the High Street by the Chequers pub.

Simon, who is part of a community group that works to maintain Greenfield Gardens in the Old Quarter, said: "I mainly shoot still and drone landscape photography of Stourbridge and surrounding area as I am one of administrators that runs @igersblackcountry – an Instagram group that showcases the Black Country and all it has to offer via photography.

"We have a large following and post on Instagram everyday."

He describes his artwork as "just a passion documenting and showcasing just how beautiful the area we live in is".
