VOLUNTEERS involved in the restoration of an historic Stourbridge site are hoping the local wildlife will help them fund the project.

Birds, mammals and insects have been recruited to raise funds for the Riverside House project.

Their role is to pose for photos for a 2021 calendar being sold to bring in much needed cash.

Riverside House is described as ‘a particularly beautiful and ecologically diverse site’ in the historic heart of Stourbridge.

It is a derelict, early 19th Century ironworks which is currently being transformed into a heritage centre with gardens, restaurant, craft shops, woodland and workshops.

The photographs in the calendar were all taken on site and the following local businesses are supporting the project by selling the calendar in their shops:

  • Eco-Maniax
  • Stourbridge Health Store in Victoria Passage
  • Nikolls and Perks Wine and Spirit Merchants.

The calendars are also available on the Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/887418582/riverside-house-2021-calendar.
