POLICE have been visiting shops in Halesowen today (Wednesday) as they reopened to ensure they are following Covid-19 regulations.
Officers from the Halesowen Neighbourhood Team were dropping in on shops on Shell Corner to speak to owners.
The move came as the second national lockdown came to an end today and Dudley and Sandwell boroughs moved into the highest 'Tier 3' coronavirus restrictions.
Halesowen Police tweeted: "Halesowen NHT officers are currently patrolling around the Shell Corner area visiting shop owners to encourage Covid procedures."

Under Tier 3 restrictions all non-essential shops have reopened.
This includes indoor and outdoor markets and car boot sales, as well as shopping centres.
The requirement to wear face coverings in shops, unless you’re exempt, remains.
Shoppers must also remain socially distanced.
Some shops are limiting their capacity to ensure social distancing can be adhered to.
Pubs and restaurants have to stay closed unless they serve takeaways, while other shops, including hairdressers and beauty salons can reopen.
Businesses who fail to comply with restrictions can be fined £10,000, face prosecution or closure.
