AN inquest has been opened into the death of a teenager found dead in Kinver on Christmas Eve.
Dominic Fox, known as Dom, aged 16, was found at Kinver Community Association Recreational Ground, on Legion Drive, at about 5.30am on Thursday December 24.
Police and paramedics were alerted but he was confirmed dead at the scene.
An inquest was opened by senior coroner for South Staffordshire, Andrew Haigh, on December 30 and the teenager, from Winston Road in Kidderminster, was confirmed to have died from hanging.
The hearing was adjourned and a full inquest has been provisionally fixed for May 11.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said there were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
Heartbroken friends and relatives paid tribute to the teenager with a poignant balloon release on December 29.
