A MAN has been taken to hospital after a lorry and car crashed in Lye this afternoon.
The accident happened at the junction of High Street and Bromley Street at around 2.17pm.
People reported on social media that the road was closed and traffic diverted while emergency services dealt with the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to the QE Hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 2.17pm to a crash between a lorry and a car at the junction of High Street and Bromley Street.
"We sent three ambulances and two paramedic officers.
"They treated a man who was driving the car and he's been taken to the QE with injuries not believed to be life threatening."
