POLICE say they have now arrested a wanted Stourbridge man after officers investigating a robbery launched an appeal to find him.
Officers asked the public for help to find Alan Buckingham, aged 35, in connection with a raid at an elderly woman's home in Wollescote in the early hours of Saturday (January 2).
And Stourbridge Police confirmed on Twitter late last night (Thursday) that he had been arrested on Lye High Street by neighbourhood officers after being spotted by a member of the public.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in custody for questioning."
The victim involved in the robbery was due to be discharged from hospital yesterday, the spokesman added.
