A Stourbridge man has been ordered to undertake treatment for alcoholism and put on a curfew after being found guilty of assault. Kieran Ashley Russell, aged 29, of Collis Street, had denied the charge of beating Daniel Rumble. He was placed on a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and placed on a 7pm to 7am electronically tagged curfew for 12 weeks. He must also pay £600 in compensation and costs.

A Rowley Regis man has been given a suspended jail sentence after admitting weapons charges. Daemon Maher, aged 36 of Harvest Road, pleaded guilty to ‘buying or acquiring a weapon that discharged electricity’, and having an extendable baton in St Giles Avenue. He was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to pay £313 in costs. Magistrates said the offences were serious, but the weapons were not used in dangerous circumstances.

A Dudley drink-driver who had cocaine in his possession has been ordered to pay £719 in fines and costs and banned from driving for 22 months. Rafal Kulasinski, aged 28, of Brewery Street, had 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 milliliters of breath when he was tested after driving his Chevrolet Cruze in Tipton. The limit is 35. He admitted both charges.

Gayle D’Arcy, aged 44, of Club Row, Dudley, was fined £30 and ordered to pay £30 costs after admitting not having vehicle insurance.

Lee Adam Neate, aged 32, of Addenbrook Court, Southbank Road, Old Hill, Cradley Heath, was ordered to pay costs of £207 after admitting producing an amount of cannabis. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months.

A Netherton man has had 30 hours of unpaid work added to his community order after failing to turn up for his initial appointment to start carrying out his original 120 hours. Jamie Malpass, aged 36, of Park Road admitting breaching the court order made last August. He must also pay £60 costs.

A Cradley man caught with a lock knife in Lye has been jailed for six months and two weeks. Mark Anthony Edwards, aged 35, of St Annes Court, denied the offence but was found guilty. He admitted breaching the terms of a previous suspended sentence of 12 weeks for failing to provide a breath test when suspected of drink-driving, and failing to surrender to custody while on bail. He was ordered to pay £149 costs.

Michael Hiscox, aged 20m, of Ivanhoe Street, Dudley, had 10 hours of voluntary work added to the 100 he was originally ordered to carry out. He admitted failing to attend probation appointments and was also ordered to pay £60 costs.

A Rowley Regis man who threatened another man’s family and damaged two cars and a fence has been placed on a community order and must pay £250 in compensation. Reece Oliver Pemberton, aged 26, of Resevoir Road, admitted causing the damage to the property belonging to Mr Gareth Phipps in Uplands Avenue, and using threatening words or behaviour to Mr Phipps and his family. Pemberton was also ordered to pay £135 costs.

Emma Louise Reynolds, aged 36, of Kinfare Road, Upper Gornal, must pay £289 in fines and costs after she admitted drink driving in Pale Street. She had 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millitres or breath when the limit is 35. Her licence was endorsed with 10 points.

Merlynda Ricketts, aged 32, of Hampton Street, Netherton, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £125 in costs after admitting driving at 40mph in Dundas Avenue and Turners Hill, which have 30mph limits. She was given three penalty points
