'SPEED was a factor' in a crash that happened on Stourbridge ring road on Monday night, a fire officer has said.
A car smashed into a wall at the junction of the High Street and St John's Road at 11.11pm on Monday February 22.
The fire and ambulance service attended the incident and a man was taken to hospital but was not thought to be seriously hurt.
Fire officer Lee Baker later tweeted about the crash saying it was "an example of why we train" and he added: "@WMFSStourbridge responded to an RTC on the ring road where speed was a factor. Regardless of reason, we will do all we can to prevent further harm and injury to the public."
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said an ambulance and paramedic officer attended the incident and added: "On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who had managed to get himself out of the car.
"He was assessed and treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Russell’s Hall Hospital."
