A POLICE investigation into the theft of hundreds of Amazon parcels was today continuing after arrests were made in Lye at the weekend.
Two men, aged 25, and 21, were arrested on suspicion of theft after a white van full of Amazon parcels was found at the back of the Bengal Fusion restaurant in Lye High Street on Saturday (February 27) at around 10.30am.
They were also arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs.
A 20-year-old delivery driver was also later arrested on suspicion of theft by an employee.
It is believed tracking systems revealed the delivery van had not made any stops or deliveries or followed the planned route.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police confirmed the parcels and the van were recovered by officers and said the three men arrested have since been released from custody, pending further investigation.
Anyone with any information that could help the police investigation is urged to call officers on 101 and quote log 1266 of February 27.
