HIGHWAYS chiefs have issued a temporary road closure order for Cottage Street, Brierley Hill, while preparatory works to bring the Midland Metro to the town are underway.
Dudley Council will be temporarily closing the road and footways from Thursday April 1 until Friday June 25 to enable work to divert utilities to take place safely in advance of the Metro works.
The closure will affect Cottage Street, Brierley Hill, between the eastern boundary of Small Talk Nurseries to the end of the cul-de-sac; Cottage Street footway, from the end of Cottage Street to Venture Way; Venture Way footway, on the western side of Venture Way.
Traffic will be diverted via Cottage Street, Little Cottage Street, Venture Way, and vice versa.
Diversions will also be in place for pedestrians.
