POLICE are investigating after being called to reports of a break-in and attempted burglary in nearby streets in Stourbridge in the early hours of Tuesday.
Officers were alerted to an attempted burglary at a home in Yarnborough Hill, Oldswinford, at about 4.20am on April 27.
Three offenders had tried to force open a rear door but were disturbed by the resident and fled.
It is believed the men tried to drill out the back door lock but ran off when confronted.
Police also received reports of a burglary in nearby Melrose Avenue, Oldswinford, which happened between 1am and 7.30am yesterday (Tuesday).
An untidy search of the property was carried out but nothing was reported stolen.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Officers are looking into whether the two offences are connected as our enquiries continue."
