WORCESTER Warriors' owners, Colin Goldring and Jason Whittingham, enjoyed a successful Bank Holiday weekend as they saw their football club, Morecambe FC, promoted to League One on Monday after a 1-0 extra-time win over Newport County.
A Mendes Gomes penalty in the 107th minute secured their SkyBet League Two play-off final win at Wembley and a place in the third division in English football.
Goldring and Whittingham have joint owned Warriors and The Shrimps since June 2020.
The pair completed the takeover of Morecambe back in May 2018 and have now overseen their promotion to League One.
