AN online meeting to help young people with special needs prepare for adult life is being hosted by Dudley Council.
The free webinar will launch the council’s Preparing for Adulthood Strategy scheme and is part of Dudley’s special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) improvement programme.
It runs from 4pm to 5pm on Thursday June 10 and is open to young people, parents and carers, care providers, special schools and health authority and council staff. Click here to book a place.
Councillor Ruth Buttery, Dudley Council's cabinet member for children’s services, said: “Dudley Council is proud to play a part in the Preparing for Adulthood Strategy, which maps out how we can support young people with SEND as they transition into adulthood.
“We are expecting a big interest in this webinar and I would encourage young people, families, carers, parents and schools to come along and take part.”
