THE FRENCH Deli in Stourbridge town centre is up for sale with a £39k price tag.

The "well-established and popular sandwich shop and deli" on Coventry Street is seeking a new owner to take it on.

The sales notes state that "the business reluctantly comes to the market due to our client's change of vocation/family commitments and would definitely suit an owner/manager to realise greater profits/wage."

The sandwich shop has been closed during the coronavirus pandemic and a new owner is being sought to relaunch it.

The sales notes state: "The business has been established by our client since 2017 and the owner has worked tirelessly to transform the business into what it is today, with turnover increasing weekly and currently £2,500 average per week.

"The principal business activities lie in the serving of everyday freshly prepared takeaway foods such as sandwiches, baguettes, soups, pies, pasties, meat and cheeses plus an array of hot and cold drinks.

"There is complimentary seating for 12 people."

The sales notes go on to say that the business had been open six days a week "with a constant flow of customers from the local shoppers, office workers, college students and, indeed, other shop owners.

"The shop is located in a pedestrianised area within a small parade of shops, all nestled within the Town Centre just off the High Street and close to the main Sixth Form college.

"Stourbridge Town Centre benefits from free parking, hence the town remains fairly busy, especially on Friday/Saturday."

There are ten years left on the lease.

The shop is being sold by City Business Brokers.

It states that there is "plenty of scope for further improvement such as introducing sales of other product lines, extending opening hours, greater social media presence and providing buffets (lots of enquiries every day!).

"The business is completely staff run (two full-time, three part-time) and is open from Monday to Saturday 9am-3pm. closed Sunday.

"This is an ideal "lifestyle" business for a working couple with two part-time staff."

The rent is £7.5k per annum with no business rates.
