CARING pupils at a Stourbridge school have raised £125 to help a town animal charity.

Children from Elmfield School in Love Lane, Oldswinford, made tote bags to sell, with proceeds going to the Stourbridge and District branch of the RSPCA.

Branch chair Liz Cormell, said: “All the volunteers at RSPCA Stourbridge and District would like to thank the children and staff of Class 6, Elmfield School for thinking of raising much appreciated funds for the branch.

"We really appreciate the donation and it will go towards rehabilitating and caring for animals in our area.”

The group, which rescues cats and other small animals, is made up of around 20 hardworking volunteers and has to raise its own funds.

Anyone who wants to donate to help the group, which has no base so all its animals seeking homes are in foster care, can do so on PayPal to rspca.stourbridge@gmail.com.

It also has an Amazon wishlist and donations can be made via its Facebook page or website at https://www.rspca-stourbridgeanddistrict.org.uk/
