WOLLASTON Tennis Club is set to serve up a fun-filled day of tennis when it hosts an open day this weekend.

With tennis season now in full swing with Wimbledon underway for the first time in two years, the club is offering people the chance to try out its courts for free on Saturday July 3 from 1pm.

Th open event, which will run until 5pm, is open to non members and provides an opportunity for children and adults.

All equipment will be provided on the day and club members will be on hand to help out and play along.

Club member Dave Tranter said “The club has been incredibly busy since the end of March when we returned to tennis from lockdown. With Wimbledon fortnight upon us again we wanted to open our doors again for people to come along and try out our wonderful tennis facility for a free hit. We look forward to welcoming people along on Saturday.”

The club based in Prestwood Drive, Stourton, boasts eight floodlit tennis courts and a clubhouse with a function room and bar and both male and female members actively play in the Hereford and Worcester and Staffordshire leagues.
