STOURBRIDGE'S Age Concern centre is now back fully open after more than a year of lockdowns.

Although daycare services have not restarted - a wide variety of exercise and craft classes are being organised for anyone keen to get involved with the community again.

It's not just for the elderly, either.

Slimming World runs regular classes and there are dance sessions for mums and babies too.

In the restaurant, a new caterer has joined, Martin Day, and he and his team will be there to serve breakfasts, lunches, with a range of Fairtrade coffees made straight from the beans, with the kitchen open from 8am to 2pm.

The Elton Catering facility, based next door to Stourbridge Interchange by the old St John's Church, is also able to offer bespoke meals to any groups booking a room in the centre and buffets can be ordered off the premises.

Bookings can be made via centre manager Kim Guest, or for catering details, take a look at eltoncatering.co.uk.

Special events are set to follow, including Sunday lunches and high teas.

There is also a singer, Karen McKee, booked for July 31.

Tickets are available for £5 and they include a fish and chip supper.

A gala re-opening event with the Mayor of Dudley is also planned for August 28.
