HIGHWAYS chiefs say work to patch the road in Duncombe Street, Wollaston, will not be going ahead this week as planned due to staff resource issues.
Carriageway patching work had been due to take place from Wednesday July 28 until Friday July 30, from 9.30am until 2pm each day, with a temporary street closure planned between Bright Street and the southern boundary of number 37 Duncombe Street.
But Dudley Council's highways department has today (Tuesday) said the works have been cancelled this week and will be carried out at a later date.
Senior technician Richard Milburn said: "We apologise for the inconvenience."
It has not been confirmed whether the staffing issue is due to workers having to self-isolate due to Covid.
Dudley Council has been contacted for further comment.
