FREE live music entertainment is being laid on at Wordsley's Red House Glass Cone this month.

Outdoor chilled performances of jazz and acoustic music will take place at the Camp Hill visitor attraction every Sunday from August 8 to 29, from 1pm to 1.45pm and from 2.15pm to 3pm.

Alistair Davies, Jazz Lovers UK, Kiel Wilkinson and Strictly Bueno will be among the performers.

Councillor Simon Phipps, Dudley's cabinet member responsible for economic regeneration, said: "The Red House Glass Cone is a unique visitor attraction that gives people a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our proud glass heritage.

"It’s also a great place to enjoy live music and I’m sure people won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear performances from some very talented musicians."

The canalside visitor attraction is open 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 11am to 4pm at weekends.

The visitor centre, shop, upstairs gallery, indoor exhibition spaces, studios and Red Cone Coffee House are now fully open, although the cone and hot glass studio remain closed until necessary repair work has been carried out.
