BRAND new bungalows, the scarcest of new builds, have been included in new Kinver development The Hyde.

Two styles of bungalow are among new homes at the Elan Homes development, off Hyde Lane, which is close to the River Stour.

A semi-detached Windermere, has gone on the market, priced from £295,000, and a detached Draycott, priced from £395,000.

The Windermere comprises a kitchen, combined lounge/dining room, with French doors from both of these rooms opening out onto the rear garden, two bedrooms at the front of the property, plus a bathroom airing cupboard and storage.

The larger Draycott features a lounge, with combined kitchen, dining and family room at the rear with French doors leading to the garden, and the main bedroom has an en-suite as well as the bathroom.

It's not often bungalows are built as part of a mixed scheme and Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “They’re they’re so rare and often only built within retirement schemes, as social housing or for people with a disability.

“Bungalows make an idea choice for more mature buyers who want a low maintenance home. They are also well-suited to first time buyers and young families as they offer apartment style living with the addition of a garden. Plus, because they’re in such short supply it could be a good investment for the future as bungalows tend to hold their value well and can experience faster growth than other types of property.”
