A FLY-TIPPER who emptied the contents of their boot into a bush in Kidderminster has been hit with a £400 fine.

The resident pulled into a lay-by on Waggon Lane and dumped a load of black bin bags full of rubbish from their vehicle.

They were identified by Wyre Forest District Council and were sent a £400 fixed penalty notice, which they promptly paid.

A spokesman for the council said: "We take pride in our district and are working hard to tackle flytipping.

"Earlier in the month a resident pulled into a lay-by on Waggon Lane, Kidderminster and emptied the contents of their boot into a bush.

"We were able to identify the flytipper so sent them a letter in the post.

"We soon received a call from the individual who quickly paid the £400 Fixed Penalty Notice." The council said it is looking to hire a full-time Civil Enforcement Officer to join its fight against flytipping.
