THE return of Stourbridge's Repair Cafe proved a big hit.

Part of Transition Stourbridge, the venture which invites people to take along their broken items in need of repair has now relocated to St Thomas's Church in Market Street, Stourbridge, after previously operating from a unit in The Ryemarket.

At the first repair cafe since the pandemic hit, held on September 25, a dedicated band of volunteers were on hand to take on the many tasks presented.

Spokesman for the group Marion Meadows said: "The repair cafe handled over 20 items and these ranged from a lawnmower to a teddy who was in need of loving care and duly found it in the hands of one of our skilled sewing team."

The next Repair Cafe will take place on Saturday October 23. Tea, coffee and home-made cake will be available to people while they wait for items to be repaired.
