A PUBLIC meeting for people in Wollescote concerned about potential development on green belt land has been cancelled.
Cradley and Wollescote councillors Tim Crumpton and Richard Body had called a meeting about the Black Country Plan, which is currently out for consultation across Dudley and other Black Country council areas.
It was due to place at The Miner’s Institute in Wassell Road, Wollescote, tonight (Wednesday September 29) from 7pm but cllr Crumpton said the event has unfortunately been cancelled.
He has instead urged people concerned about the likelihood of development on green belt near them to attend a meeting called by Stourbridge Conservatives which will take place at Dudley Town Hall,St James Road, Dudley, on Thursday September 30.
Residents are invited to give their feedback on the draft Black Country Plan at the event which starts at 7pm.
The plan, which aims to outline future sites for new homes and employment, will also be scrutinised by the Future Council Scrutiny Committee on Wednesday October 6 at Dudley Town Hall, from 6pm.
Residents will have chance to ask questions during the public forum session.
People planning to attend do not need to book in advance. People are encouraged to wear a face mask when they arrive. Numbers inside the building will be limited. The meeting will also be broadcast live on the council’s You Tube channel.
