STOURBRIDGE'S Hexagon Commercial Property has secured a letting to a regional care provider at a former industrial and office complex.

The Care First Group has taken a six-year lease at a property in Reeves Street, Bloxwich.

The property, which lay vacant while landlords devised a refurbishment programme, comprises three warehouse units plus offices measuring 6,245 sq ft in total.

The new education centre will cater for around 30 students with learning and physical disabilities.

Hexagon had been engaged by the landlord mid-refurb and, prior to the refurbishment being complete, had terms agreed with The Care First Group.

The complex has recently benefitted from a six figure investment with works including new roofs, surfacing works and renovated offices.

Harvey Pearson, director at Hexagon Commercial Property, said: “We are proud to have been involved in this project. The refurbishment of this building has been remarkable bringing a previously derelict site back to life, signifying a big investment in the area and job creation in Bloxwich.

"This deal signifies the importance of running a robust database as we were able to agree terms to Care First whilst the refurbishment was still ongoing not to mention we hadn’t even began the marketing campaign. We wish The Care First Group all the best with their expansion.”

Joel Winter, operations director at The Care First Group, added: “Our plan is to provide vocational educational opportunities to young and older adults with learning and physical disabilities.

"The education will be delivered through vocational activities such as woodwork, craft, horticulture and other work based projects. The new premises have been completely transformed and we are excited to get going.”
