MERRY Hill is set to welcome the return of its student shopping night next week.

The event – the only event of its kind taking place in the West Midlands – will run on Tuesday October 12 from 3pm to 9pm and will include 40 participating stores, restaurants and leisure venues.

Brands such as Mango, H&M and Pandora will be offering exclusive discounts and students will have chance to grab discounted food and drink from eateries such as Starbucks, Five Guys, Triple Two Coffee and Burrito Kitchen.

DJ sets will also be playing throughout the night and there'll be games and competitions.

Lush will be hosting a bath bomb experience, and shoppers can try out face and glitter painting pop-ups.

Event sponsors, Coca-Cola Zero, are bringing a retro arcade and sampling pop-up to the centre, university stalls will also be on hand with course information and tips and advice for university life.

Entry is free, but students must register for an e-ticket and provide student ID to redeem offers on the night. Once registered they will be entered into a free prize draw for the chance to win a £300 Primark gift card.

Jonathan Poole, centre manager at Merry Hill said: “With freshers week and university life building momentum this year we wanted to celebrate and put a smile on the face of students with some fantastic deals and discounts.

“As the only student shopping night in the region, and a host of our much-loved fashion brands taking part, students can bag themselves exclusive discounts on the perfect university outfits for both Fresher’s Week parties and their lectures.

“Our summer events were a huge hit with visitors, and our biggest ever student night is sure to follow suit."
