A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in Erdington.
Police were called to Reservoir Road at just after 10pm on Friday (October 8) and found a man with significant head injuries.
The man, in his 40s, was taken to hospital and was today in a critical condition.
A vehicle which left the scene has since been recovered and a 44-year-old woman has been arrested.
The woman - who is known to the man - has also been detained on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs and today remained in police custody for questioning.
Police closed the road and enquiries were continuing today.
