THE Mary Stevens Hospice Christmas coffee morning is back this year after the Covid-19 crisis forced its cancellation last year.

Hospice staff and volunteers will host the event from 10.30am to 1pm on Saturday December 4 - with Santa set to stop by at 11am.

As well as tea and coffee, cakes and mince pies - there'll be a bottle and toiletries tombolas, garden and gifts stalls, a Christmas crafts stall and silent auction.

Amanda Bowen, head of fundraising at the hospice which is based in Hagley Road in Oldswinford, said: “We were so disappointed that we were unable to hold last year's traditional Christmas Coffee Morning as we have always relied on our fundraising Christmas events to ensure we can continue to care for local families at a time when they need us the most.

"During this festive season we are so grateful to our supporters for continuing to help us sustain our vital services and with £3.5 million needed to be raised each and every year to do so, this is the perfect opportunity for us to say thank you."
