A LIVE music event is set to take place tonight (Friday November 26) to raise money and awareness of a rare genetic disorder that has left a Stourbridge youngster severely disabled.
The event will take place at Claptrap The Venue in Stourbridge and will raise cash for UK charity Reverse Rett, which works to speed up treatments and find a cure for Rett Syndrome, which seven-year-old Daisy Gilbert suffers with.
Emily Marsden, Daisy's mum, said: "The charity Reverse Rett fund research as well as a national Rett centre of excellence in London that have been an incredible support to Daisy and our family."
The event, kicking off at 8pm, will feature music from Spiders Web and Magpie Cafe followed by a live DJ.
Emily added: "This is the third live music event put on by Daisy’s great uncle, Ken, and is set to be another brilliant night of entertainment."
The event will be live-streamed via the Reverse Rett Facebook page.
Entry is £5 on the door.
