HIGHWAYS chiefs have issued a temporary road closure notice for Worcester Street in Stourbridge this weekend.
The main route into Stourbridge will be closed to traffic between New Road (the ring road) and the southern boundary of number 1 Worcester Street on Saturday January 22 until Sunday January 23.
The alternative route for traffic travelling in an anti-clockwise direction will be via Worcester Street, Heath Lane, Hagley Road, and New Road; or Bath Road, Enville Street, Bridgnorth Road, High Park Avenue, South Road, and Worcester Street.
The alternative route for traffic travelling in a clockwise direction will be via Worcester Street, South Road, High Park Avenue, Bridgnorth Road, Enville Street, Bath Road, St Johns Road, and New Road; or Hagley Road, Heath Lane, and Worcester Street.
The closure has been ordered to enable works to electrical services to take place.
Access to properties and for emergency services will be maintained where safe.
