TENNIS players loved getting back out on the court when they took part in Wollaston Tennis Club's first traditional Valentine's Tournament since the Covid crisis hit.
The club hosted the event - traditionally its first tournament of the calendar year - on Saturday February 12.
It was the first time the tournament has been run since the pandemic struck in early 2020 and, despite extremely windy conditions, competitors battled away for more than three hours to try and qualify for the one-set final.
The tournament was eventually won by Ben Small and Bec Yates - who beat Fin and Heather Partridge in a closely fought final.
Tournament organiser Max Bywater said: "The Valentine's Tournament continues to be really successful hence continuing the tradition after Covid.
"All players were obviously aiming to win all their games to love and the winners really put their hearts into it for a deserved victory."
The club, based in Prestwood Drive, Stourton, has four men's teams and three ladies teams which play in both Hereford and Worcester and also Staffordshire leagues.
A popular family club, it caters for all ages and abilities of player.
The club's courts are designed to provide good tennis in all weather and floodlighting means players can continue to enjoy games on dark winter nights.
