A NEW coffee shop in Wall Heath is having a grand official opening this weekend.
The Mayor of Dudley will be ‘cutting the ribbon’ at the new Wall Heath Coffee Company café in Albion Parade on Saturday March 12 at midday.
The coffee shop is a family-owned venture which previously operated out of smaller premises on the High Street.
Owner Maria Psaras and her team have renovated the old Co-Op Travel unit to create the new venture which has been created using reclaimed wood and the restoration an original parquet floor that was hidden under carpet tiles for years.
Maria described the venture as an “exciting step” following the Covid crisis and she added: “Small businesses, especially in hospitality, have struggled due to the pandemic - trying to operate within changing government guidelines.
“The Wall Heath Coffee Company aims to create a real hub for the local community of Wall Heath.”
