A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a crash with a BMW near Bobbington.

The man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Six Ashes Road at the junction with the A458 Bridgnorth Road at 1.30pm yesterday (Saturday March 12).

The Air Ambulance attended but medics could not save him.

The BMW driver, a woman in her 50s, was taken to Russells Hall Hospital.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the tragic crash near the Six Ashes pub.

Staffordshire Police said: "Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Six Ashes, near Bobbington. "Police were called to Six Ashes Road at the junction with the A458 Bridgnorth Road at 1.30pm yesterday afternoon (March 12) following a collision involving a black Kawasaki motorcycle and a white BMW 116.

"The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and despite the efforts of medical staff from the air ambulance, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.

"The driver of the BMW, a woman in her 50s, was admitted to Russells Hall Hospital. Witnesses who may have seen the vehicles before the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage please message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 372 of 12 March or call 101.
