CASUAL roles with Dudley Council are up for grabs at a recruitment event this week.

A wide range of casual jobs will be on offer at the event, which will take place at Dudley Town Hall on Thursday April 7 from 1pm until 6.30pm.

Jobs such as stewards and technicians for shows at the Dudley borough's halls, bar staff to cover events and catering assistants in schools during term time are wanted.

Cleaners, gym instructors, receptionists and sports coaches aqre also being sought.

DB Leisure, the new name for Dudley borough leisure centres, will be attending the event to showcase career and apprenticeship opportunities.

Full training for these posts is available if applicants pass a swim test.

Kevin O'Keefe, chief executive of Dudley Council, said: "This event will help people who want to work with us to meet the team and get more information about the jobs on offer with the council.

"There are a variety of different roles available and I’m sure people will find something to suit them. If you’re looking for casual work, then I would certainly recommend coming along."

People attending are asked to take along their CV and details of two referees to minimise delays in processing applications.

Places at the event can be booked by calling 01384 818143.

More information about the event is available online at dudley.gov.uk/jobs-and-careers/casual-recruitment-event, along with job descriptions and person specifications for the roles available.
